Summer Holiday Activities for Kids in Kentish Town: Try Our Pizza Making Class

The summer holidays are here, the kids are home and you've already exhausted every idea that doesn't involve a screen. Sound familiar? If you're looking for something genuinely fun, hands-on and a little bit delicious, Rossella has just the thing.

Our kids pizza making class at Rossella Kentish Town is one of those rare activities that children actually look forward to — and talk about afterwards. No worksheets, no quiet sitting, just flour-dusted hands, creative toppings and a pizza they made themselves from scratch.

What Is the Pizza Making Class?

The class takes place right here in our Kentish Town kitchen, where one of our team walks children through the art of making a proper Italian pizza from scratch. We're talking real dough, real sauce and as many toppings as they can pile on.

Kids get to knead the dough, stretch it out, add their toppings and watch it go into the oven — then, of course, eat it. It's suitable for children of all ages, though little ones will need a helping hand from a grown-up alongside them.

The class is available upon request, so spaces don't fill up automatically — you'll need to get in touch with us to check availability and choose a time that works for you. More on that below.

Why Kids Love It

There's something genuinely magical about making food from scratch, especially when you're a child. The moment the dough starts to stretch, when the toppings go on just the way you want them and when that finished pizza comes out of the oven — it's a different kind of achievement to anything you get from a tablet or a TV.

It's also just a lot of fun. Our kitchen team are brilliant with children, the atmosphere is relaxed and noisy in all the right ways, and the result is something the kids can actually eat and feel proud of. It tends to go down very well.

While the Kids Cook...

If you'd like to make a proper occasion of it, we also run an adults pizza making class and a beginners pasta making class — so you could book back-to-back sessions for a full Italian cooking evening together. Alternatively, sit back at the bar while the children get creative: our Happy Hour runs Monday to Thursday from 3pm to 6pm, with 2-for-1 on cocktails, wines and prosecco. You've earned it.
