Rossella is the pride and joy of owner and local Kentish Town resident Luca Meola. It is the result of family tradition dating back decades.
Benevento, Italy. The journey begins!
The first Rossella restaurant was opened by the Meola family in Benevento, Italy in 1960. It was founded on a passione for great food, great ingredients and community.
Italy comes to London
Luca’s father moved to the UK in 1978 and made London his home. Here he opened a trattoria where young Luca learned the art of being a restaurateur and discovered his talent for cooking.
This London Italian tradizione continued in 2011, when Luca seized the chance to open his own restaurant, carrying the Rossella name in homage to his roots. Embraced by the Kentish Town community, it was built around a family feel, a love of simple, classic Italian dishes made with fresh ingredients and wine from the same family vineyard in Benevento.
In 2026, the Rossella family grew with the opening of a second home in Muswell Hill, bringing the same warmth, food and spirit to a new neighbourhood while staying true to everything Rossella stands for.
